Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop, and implement a comprehensive nursing care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in accordance with nursing standards and protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and conditions continuously, recognizing changes that may indicate deterioration and responding with appropriate interventions.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members.
- Provide patient education and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care after shift.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment that adheres to all hospital safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Flexibility to work various night shift schedules (e.g., 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
