Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for overnight patients
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while maintaining rigorous safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless continuity of care during shift transitions
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention skills
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with meticulous attention to detail
- Provide patient and family education on overnight care procedures and health management
- Mentor new staff members and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Oregon RN license with no disciplinary actions
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience with night shift preference
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCS preferred
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems and documentation best practices
- Exceptional communication skills for high-stakes overnight care coordination
- Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions during low-staffed overnight hours
