Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in emergency, critical care, and general medicine units during night shifts
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies with precision
- Monitor patient vitals and respond rapidly to acute changes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless patient handovers
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Educate patients/families on care plans and discharge protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (Compact License preferred)
- BSN or higher degree required (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience
- BLS/ACLS certifications mandatory; PALS/CCRN preferred
- Proven expertise in EHR systems (Epic/Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure nocturnal environments
