Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation: Assist patients with examinations and procedures to ensure comfort and readiness.
- Documentation: Accurately record patient history, symptoms, and vital signs into our EHR systems.
- Vital Signs: Measure and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration rate, and pain levels.
- Assistance: Provide hands-on assistance to physicians and nurses during exams and minor procedures.
- Laboratory Support: Perform basic lab tests, draw blood, and prepare specimens as directed.
- Environment: Maintain clean, sanitized, and organized treatment rooms.
- Communication: Educate patients on medications, post-care instructions, and follow-up appointments.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required (Associate degree in Medical Assisting is a plus).
- Enthusiasm: A genuine passion for healthcare and helping others is essential.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new software.
- License: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
