Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in critical care units and emergency departments during overnight shifts
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Monitor vital signs and document patient assessments accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and code blue events
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and HIPAA regulations
- Mentor new nurses and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active New Mexico RN license (or compact license)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in night shift environments
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
