Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients during night shifts, including assessment, medication administration, and treatment monitoring
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Maintain accurate documentation using electronic health record systems
- Monitor and maintain infection control protocols to ensure patient safety
- Supervise LPNs and CNAs, providing guidance and support during night operations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license in good standing
- BSN degree preferred (ADN with relevant experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
