Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition immediately to the appropriate medical staff.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff during the night shift.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and crises.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory for exceptional candidates.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
