Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status through history, physical exams, and diagnostic testing to formulate individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient condition or emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care management.
- Ensure a safe and clean patient environment by adhering to safety and infection control policies.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (Critical Care or Med-Surg preferred).
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively within a high-pressure night shift environment.
