Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor health status throughout the shift.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and patient responses to interventions, documenting changes immediately.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families during the night hours.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Respond rapidly to code blue and emergency situations using critical thinking and decisive action.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the state of Colorado.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients regularly; must possess the physical stamina for night shifts.
