Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while strictly adhering to hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status continuously, intervening immediately to address any changes or emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and the wider multidisciplinary care team.
- Document patient care activities, interventions, and responses to treatment in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) in a timely and precise manner.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team during the night shift.
