Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs and clinical status throughout the night shift.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Respond immediately to emergent patient situations and initiate appropriate life-saving interventions.
- Document patient care activities, assessments, and changes in condition accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust patient care plans.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families during the overnight hours.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred (Pediatric or Medical-Surgical background a plus).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and composed during high-stress situations.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
