Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously throughout the night shift.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, and the wider healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
- Document patient care activities, vital signs, and changes in condition accurately and in a timely manner.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide critical care interventions when needed.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Michigan.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-volume setting.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound clinical decisions.
