Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with RNs, LPNs, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations following established safety protocols.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights as needed.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients of varying sizes.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
