Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to therapies, intervening immediately in case of emergencies.
- Document patient care services in medical records and electronic health systems accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Provide health education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred depending on unit.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (New graduates welcome with applicable internships).
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment during night shifts.
