Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care according to established nursing protocols and standards of practice.
- Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms continuously, identifying changes in condition and escalating concerns to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit environment.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and unit rounds.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including standing, walking, and lifting patients as needed.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
