Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse on the Night Shift, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, monitoring patient health, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your expertise is valued.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs upon admission and throughout their stay, developing individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols, ensuring patient safety.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously, identifying any changes and alerting the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Document all patient care activities, assessments, and responses to treatment accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate seamless patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment, adhering to all infection control and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (Med-Surg or ICU preferred).
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and hospital computer systems.
