Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously throughout the shift to identify changes in patient status.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Respond immediately to emergent situations and coordinate rapid response team activations.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Adhere to all hospital safety and infection control policies.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee (TN).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or medical-surgical setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as required for patient care.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
