Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough physical exams and medical history reviews to evaluate patient health status and develop individualized care plans.
- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately while monitoring for adverse reactions and effectiveness.
- Clinical Monitoring: Continuously monitor vital signs and patient conditions, intervening immediately in response to critical changes or emergencies.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient care activities, outcomes, and communication.
- Health Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and assessment skills under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
