Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient conditions accurately.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, including code blue alerts, to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities and clinical notes.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to all hospital safety and infection control policies.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred, but strong new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
