Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical and psychological needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously throughout the night shift.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond immediately to emergent situations and assist in resuscitation efforts as needed.
- Provide patient and family education regarding care plans and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting patients.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care standards.
