Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment for patient visits.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Take and record vital signs and medical histories accurately.
- Administer injections, medications, and vaccinations as directed by providers.
- Prepare and process laboratory specimens and perform basic diagnostic tests.
- Manage patient intake, registration, and insurance verification efficiently.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and OSHA safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) or completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
