Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans under the direction of nursing leadership.
- Monitor vital signs and administer medications safely and accurately during the night shift.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment in the EMR system.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and care plans.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and critical incidents with professionalism.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nebraska.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced night shift environment.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion, empathy, and critical thinking skills.
- Commitment to patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
