Responsibilities
- Assess patient health conditions, needs, and recovery progress, and develop appropriate care plans.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with medical protocols and nursing standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs, pain levels, and overall condition, promptly reporting any significant changes to the charge nurse or physician.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic patient management.
- Document all patient care activities, assessments, and responses to interventions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or eligible for reciprocity).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
