Responsibilities
- Assess patients' health status by gathering data (medical history, symptoms) and performing physical examinations.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physicians' orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration) and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
- Provide patient education regarding disease processes, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to safety standards and infection control procedures.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Washington.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, with specific experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as necessary.
