Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for night shift patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions with precision and compassion
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless continuity of care across shifts
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation in compliance with JCAHO standards
- Mentor junior staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond effectively to critical situations using rapid response protocols
- Participate in departmental committees to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina RN license with no disciplinary actions
- BSN degree from an accredited nursing program (ADN candidates with 3+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience in telemetry/ICU setting
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Demonstrated proficiency in EPIC EMR system
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously in fast-paced night shift environment
