Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with hospital protocols and nursing standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed physicians and nurse practitioners.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care, medications, and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Respond efficiently to emergent situations and critical care needs during assigned shifts.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various medical units and specialized equipment.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
