Responsibilities
- Assess & Monitor: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs to identify changes in patient condition.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to code blue calls, emergencies, and acute patient crises with a calm and professional demeanor.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient care, interventions, and outcomes.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on discharge instructions, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated care.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Arizona.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred; night shift experience is a plus.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking abilities, and proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients (up to 50lbs), and perform physical maneuvers as required by the job.
