Responsibilities
- Delicate patient care in medical-surgical units under direct supervision
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document patient assessments and care plans using EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Monitor vital signs and respond to emergency situations
- Educate patients and families on post-treatment care protocols
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Recent nursing graduate or RN license within 6 months
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Passing score on pre-employment skills assessment
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Commitment to continuous learning through our residency program
- Valid Illinois nursing license (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Background check and drug screen clearance
