Responsibilities
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing supervisor or physician immediately.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Document patient care activities, assessments, and responses to treatment accurately.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a commitment to patient safety.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various clinical units.
