Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by gathering relevant information such as medical history, symptoms, and lifestyle factors.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to develop individualized care plans.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Document all patient interactions, observations, and care provided accurately in electronic health records.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist with basic life support when necessary.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Compassionate demeanor and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different clinical settings and patient populations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required by the job.
