Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing team or physicians immediately.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and safety guidelines.
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities, hygiene, and mobility.
- Document patient care activities, including charting in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health maintenance strategies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois (or willingness to obtain).
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced healthcare environment.
