Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient condition immediately to the charge nurse.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding their care.
- Document all patient interactions, observations, and care provided accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the wider healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital safety policies and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (BSN preferred, but ADN considered).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain compassion and professionalism under stress.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
