Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care by assessing health status, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient history, symptoms, and responses to treatment accurately and in a timely manner using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit while adhering to all hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Respond promptly to emergent situations and emergency codes, utilizing critical thinking and quick decision-making skills.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing program (ASN, BSN, or ADN) is required.
- Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Louisiana.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) required prior to start date.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital setting.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a strong desire to learn and advance in the nursing field.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate electronic medical records systems.
