Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following all hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and clinical status continuously, escalating concerns to physicians immediately.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, discharge instructions, and preventative health.
- Respond promptly to code blue and emergency situations with appropriate intervention.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical-surgical setting.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
