Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patient health status, documenting vital signs and symptoms accurately.
- Care Implementation: Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and electronic health logs in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to patient emergencies and assist in implementing life-saving protocols.
- Education: Educate patients and families on post-care instructions, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ADN or BSN).
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana (or willingness to obtain).
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Experience: No prior professional nursing experience required. Recent graduates and nursing students are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate demeanor.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
