Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatment, documenting all observations and changes in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-discharge care.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Current, unencumbered RN License to practice in the State of Texas.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
