Responsibilities
- Assess and Monitor: Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and preventative health measures.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as needed.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control guidelines to maintain a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Minnesota.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic and patient-centered care under pressure.
