Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with hospital policies and nursing standards.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to identify changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, treatments, and outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health management plans.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop optimal care plans.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and code blue alerts.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State Board of Nursing in Texas.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as part of the part-time schedule.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
