Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with established nursing standards and state regulations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess clinical conditions to ensure timely intervention.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by licensed physicians.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred based on unit.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
