Responsibilities
- Assess & Monitor: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs and health status to detect changes requiring immediate intervention.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed electronic health records (EHR) regarding patient care, medications, and treatment outcomes.
- Patient Advocacy: Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring the voice of the patient is heard and that their rights and dignity are upheld at all times.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to hygiene protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure during critical situations.
- Computer Proficiency: Ability to navigate electronic medical records systems and hospital software efficiently.
