Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to strict physician orders and nursing standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, responding promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Document patient care activities, updates, and medical history accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and disease prevention.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, safe patient environment.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred (New Grads welcome).
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated compassion and a patient-first attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
