Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by conducting thorough physical examinations and history taking.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring safety and accuracy.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Document patient information, including symptoms, progress, and care provided, in electronic health records.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and changing patient needs in a high-volume environment.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Ensure the healthcare environment is clean, safe, and compliant with all safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new medical technologies and protocols.
