Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care across diverse medical units including ICU, ER, and Telemetry
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while monitoring patient responses
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure compliance with JCAHO standards
- Provide mentorship to nursing staff and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas (or compact license)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certifications required; PALS/NRP preferred for specialty units
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system and clinical documentation
- Strong critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
