Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status, administer medications, and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal recovery.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and post-discharge care.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental rounds.
- Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients and their families during their hospital stay.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Candidate must pass a background check and drug screen.
