Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with nursing standards and hospital protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety.
- Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in clinical condition, escalating to the charge nurse or provider when necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous education activities.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license issued by the California Board of Nursing (BRN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred (New graduates with exceptional clinical skills will also be considered).
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
