Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical and mental status to identify nursing needs and plan appropriate care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatments, documenting all changes accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond immediately to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment, adhering to all infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
