Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care in diverse clinical settings including hospitals, clinics, and specialty units
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and facility protocols
- Monitor patient vitals, symptoms, and response to care with meticulous documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide patient education on health conditions, medications, and discharge planning
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance, infection control, and safety regulations at all times
- Respond to emergencies with critical thinking and decisive action
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Texas RN license (or compact license with Texas endorsement)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience in relevant specialty (ER, Med-Surg, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred based on assignment
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and clinical documentation
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and facility protocols
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Flexibility to work 8-12 hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for multi-site assignments
