Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patients' conditions continuously and make appropriate adjustments to nursing care plans.
- Document patient care services, including initial assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, management, and health promotion.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Respond quickly to emergencies and provide critical care interventions when needed.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Virginia.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred based on specialty.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred (new grads with exceptional clinical skills may be considered).
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing patient needs.
