Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care across diverse medical units including ER, ICU, and Med-Surg
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Provide patient/family education on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Mentor new staff and uphold hospital safety and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in hospital setting
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proven proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication abilities with patients/families/staff
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
