Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status: Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Administer care: Execute prescribed treatments and medications while strictly adhering to safety protocols and hospital standards.
- Monitor vital signs: Continuously observe patients, recording and reporting changes in condition to the nursing leadership team.
- Patient education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, post-discharge care, and medication management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure holistic and coordinated care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) to ensure continuity of care.
- Infection control: Strictly enforce infection control measures and safety regulations to protect patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Michigan.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining high standards of care.
